The game between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Montreal Canadiens will take place at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio on Wednesday, November 23 at 7:00 PM ET.
The Montreal Canadiens will travel to the Nationwide Arena to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets in the NHL on Wednesday. Columbus defeated the Florida Panthers 5-3 in their last game. Goals from Johnny Gaudreau, Yegor Chinakhov, Boone Jenner, Kent Johnson and Sean Kuraly ensured that the Blue Jackets registered their seventh win of the season.
Columbus coach Brad Larsen said after the game, “You need someone to hold fort for you. You look at all the good teams, their goalies do that for them. And Tarasov did it pretty much all night tonight.”
Montreal on the other hand were thrashed 7-2 by the Buffalo Sabres in their last game. Cole Caufield and Sean Monahan scored the goals for the Canadiens as they lost their ninth game of the season. Goaltender Jake Allen saved 31 of the 38 shots aimed at him and finished the game with a save percentage of .816.
Canadiens coach Martin St. Louis spoke after the game and said, “I think the first two power plays had some good chances. The last four weren’t very strong. We want to create scoring chances and I think apart from tonight, our power play in the last 10 games was still pretty good. It’s just that tonight wasn’t our night.”
