The game between the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers will take place at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on Thursday, October 27 at 8:30 PM ET.
The Chicago Blackhawks will welcome the Edmonton Oilers to the United Center for an NHL game on Thursday. Chicago beat the Florida Panthers 4-2 in their last game courtesy of goals from Patrick Kane, Philipp Kurashev, Taylor Raddysh and Jonathan Toews. Goaltender Alex Stalock had a great game as he saved 29 of the 31 shots he faced and finished the game with a save percentage of .935.
Goalscorer Patrick Kane spoke after the game and said, “It’s a different team. We’ve lost some big pieces, but other guys have stepped up. It’s more of a group effort this year than most nights last year. If we play a little bit better with the lead, we can build off it.”
The Edmonton Oilers on the other hand recorded their fourth win of the season as they beat the St Louis Blues 3-1 in their last game. Zach Hyman, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Jesse Puljujärvi scored the goals as Edmonton recorded a comfortable win over their opponents.
Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner had a great game with 37 saves and a save percentage of .974. Coach Jay Woodcroft sang his praises after the game and said, “We got a great goaltending performance from Stuart Skinner. This was in a tough building. Nobody expects a game like that more than Stuart Skinner himself. He has the confidence of the coaching staff. I started him because I thought he’d help us win the game.”
