Goaltender Jacob Markström saved 24 of the 27 shots that were aimed at him and finished the game with a save percentage of .889.
The St Louis Blues on the other hand beat the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 in their last game that went into a shootout. Jordan Kyrou, Vladimir Tarasenko and Robert Thomas scored the goals for the Blues in regulation time before the game went into a shootout. In the shootout, Jordan Kyrou scored to give Blues the win and in the process register their 14th win of the season.
