The game between the Boston Bruins and Calgary Flames will take place at the TD Garden in Boston on Thursday, November 17 at 7:00 PM ET.
The Boston Bruins will welcome the Philadelphia Flyers to the TD Garden for an NHL game on Thursday. The Bruins picked up a fine 5-2 victory over Vancouver Canucks on Monday. Patrice Bergeron scored his third goal in two days and the Boston Bruins set a team record with their ninth straight home win to start the season. Brad Marchand got his fifth goal in just eight games this season, Connor Clifton and Pavel Zacha also scored.
Hampus Lindholm had three assists and David Pastrnak had a pair of assists, setting up Bergeron and Marchand for one-timers as the Bruins top line led the way. “We talked about that. We wanted to have a better start, a better effort. I thought tonight was much better,” Bergeron said.
Philadelphia Flyers put up a good fight but fell to a tight 5-4 loss against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday. Kevin Hayes and Noah Cates each had a goal and an assist, Nick Seeler scored and Travis Konecny added a power-play goal for the Flyers, who rallied twice from two goals down to force overtime and earn a point.
Carter Hart stopped 28 shots in his third straight loss. “We started forechecking, had more energy, and found a way to lose,” Flyers coach John Tortorella said. “We score four tonight and we still lose.”
