The game between the Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks will take place at the TD Garden on Friday, November 19 at 7:00 PM ET.
The Boston Bruins will welcome the Chicago Blackhawks to the TD Garden for an NHL game on Friday. The Bruins picked up a fine 4-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday. Tomas Nosek scored for the second straight game and Jake DeBrusk also had a goal to help the Bruins win their fifth straight and improve to 10-0 at home. Linus Ullmark stopped 22 shots for his 12th victory in 12 starts.
“Obviously, there are always going to be moments when there’s breakdowns. Teams are good and, in some cases, great in this league,” Ullmark said. “There are opportunities for them to score but my job is to stop the puck.”
The Chicago Blackhawks put up a good fight but fell to a tight 2-5 loss against the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday. Andreas Athanasiou scored twice for Chicago, and Arvid Soderblom made 30 stops. The Blackhawks (6-7-3) lost for the fourth time in five games. The teams combined for five goals during a wild second period.
“Anytime we had a bit of a mishap in the (defensive) zone or mess up on a 2-on-1 or give up a chance on our power play, then they buried it on us,” coach Luke Richardson said. “And that’s where we got to get a little better, to take advantage of the chances that we do get.”
