The Anaheim Ducks will welcome the Vegas Golden Knights to Honda Center for an NHL game on Sunday. The Ducks lost 2-3 against the Flames in their last game. Mason McTavish and Jakob Silfverberg had power-play goals — the sixth time this season Anaheim had mutlple goals with the man advantage. Dostal made 42 saves for the Ducks, who have lost the first two games of their franchise-record 10-game homestand.
The Ducks struck on the power play 3:28 into the third to tie the game at 2. Silfverberg’s wrist shot from the left circle was helped in by a deflection off the stick of MacKenzie Weeger. “It wasn’t pretty before that,” Silfverberg said. “We were struggling to get into the zone but we managed to catch them in a transition play.”
The Knights on the other hand won 5-4 against the Blues in their last game. Michael Amadio’s stay in the Vegas Golden Knights’ top line will end once Jack Eichel returns from a lower-body injury. “It’s a shootout, it can go anyone’s way, but the difference between winning and losing, the mood in the room is significantly different,” Stone said. “So rehab and enjoy this one with the guys heading into the break. I think we’ve played almost as many games as anyone, so it’s good to get the break.”
