The 2022-23 NBA season has recently kicked off. With just a few days into the new season, fans have already started to speculated the potential winners of the championship. While last season saw the Golden State Warriors take home the championship after beating Boston Celtics in the NBA season, can a different team take home the NBA championship this season or will the Warriors take home the title yet again? That said, let us take a look at the top 5 title contenders of the new NBA season.

Top 5 NBA title contenders:

5. Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics had a season to remember last year. Even though the team were blown away by the mighty Golden State Warriors, Celtics gave it all they had. And the same can be expected from them this year. Their star players Jayson Tatum and Jalen Brown now have some serious finals experience under their belts and have all the abilities to lead their team into the finals for the second straight year.

4. Brooklyn Nets

It’s hard to remember a time over the last couple of years when there was no drama surrounding the Brooklyn Nets. The same has happened this year, with a rather poor start to their season. However, with the likes of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on the team, anything can happen. While the two will most certainly need to get some help from their team as well, they can certainly step up to plate and make the team a real threat.

3. Los Angeles Clippers

While the Los Angeles Clippers might not look like the most appealing name on the list, the team has some serious depth. Apart from their star players, Kawahi Leonard and Paul George, the team is filled with legit NBA players that can step up to the plate when needed. The Clippers have started off the season strongly with a win over their city rivals and it will be interesting to see if they can build upon it to potentially challenge for the title.

2. Milwaukee Bucks

The list would be incomplete without the Milwaukee Bucks. With Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the line, Jrue Holiday as one of the best defenders in the league and Khris Middleton with his shooting experience make the Bucks one of the best teams in the NBA.

The Milwaukee Bucks won the 2020-21 NBA championships but had their playoff bid cut short last season. However, they look ready to claim the title once again.

1. Golden State Warriors

Last season’s NBA champions Golden State Warriors are the most likely team to win the championship this year. But you may ask why is that? The answer to that question is simple, the Warriors adaptability has been second to none. They find a way to even perform without some of their best players. It is worth noting that Klay Thompson returned to action late last season and with him being fit from game 1, the Warriors are a force to be reckoned with.
