The Portland Trail Blazers will welcome the Charlotte Hornets to Moda Center at the Rose Quarter for an NBA game on Tuesday. The Blazers lost 120-107 in their last game over the Nuggets. Damian Lillard had 34 points and eight assists, Jerami Grant scored 20 and Jusuf Nurkic added 11 before fouling out for the Blazers, who ended their six-game road swing with three straight losses. Portland was 2-4 on the trip.

“I think going back 2-4 is a missed opportunity. I feel like we underachieved,” Lillard said. “We could’ve walked away from this with a much better ending.”

The Hornets on the other hand won 130-134 against the Lakers in their last game. Gordon Hayward got the tiebreaking layup on a goaltending call against LeBron James with 6.3 seconds to play, and the Charlotte Hornets held off the Los Angeles Lakers 134-130 Friday night for only their second victory in 11 games.

James scored 18 of his 34 points while leading a stirring fourth-quarter comeback by the Lakers, who erased a 16-point deficit in the second half. James scored or assisted on 11 straight points in the final 2:30, and he drove for the tying layup with 30 seconds left “We knew they were going to make a run,” said Mason Plumlee, who had 11 points and eight rebounds. “They’ve got a lot of good players, but we answered the call.”
