The Orlando Magic will welcome the Toronto Raptors to the Amway Center for an NBA game on Friday. The Magic won 116-111 in their last game over the Clippers. Rookie Pablo Banchero scored 10 of his 23 points in overtime and the Orlando Magic snapped a nine-game losing streak with a 116-111 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night.
Banchero, the top overall pick in the NBA draft, made all six of his free throws in the final seven seconds of overtime, rallying the Magic from a 111-110 deficit. “I think the ball just found me later in the game. I think I was aggressive the whole game, but I was just letting it come to me. I was going to take my opportunities when they came,” the 20-year-old Banchero said. “I don’t really go in the lane thinking I’m trying to get fouled. I’m just trying to go score.”
The Raptors on the other hand won 126-113 against the Lakers in their last game. Pascal Siakam had 25 points and 10 rebounds and the Toronto Raptors routed Los Angeles 126-113 on Wednesday night, beating a short-handed Lakers team playing without LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
James sat out because of a sore left ankle, one night after he played 36 minutes in a 116-102 loss at Cleveland. Davis left after one quarter Tuesday night because of a non-COVID illness. “I still think the team spirit is pretty high,” center Thomas Bryant said after Los Angeles lost its second straight. “We still have a really good collective unit.”
