Steph Curry showed off his kind side to fans once more as a young girl became upset after meeting the Golden State Warriors superstar for the first time. Curry embraced and hugged her. He also took a photo with her. Here’s a video of this touching gesture (from Warriors on NBCS on Twitter):

Curry wields considerable power over the game’s youthful supporters. He is one of the league’s most popular characters and, together with LeBron James, the NBA’s face. The four-time champion has never shied away from showing his fans love, and this was just another example of his being one of the league’s most personable players.

Twitter reacts as Steph Curry embraces the fan

During the Golden State Warriors’ 125-116 overtime win over the Milwaukee Bucks, Steph Curry made sure the fan he met had the best first-ever live NBA game experience. Curry put on a show, scoring 20 of his 36 points between the final two minutes of regulation and the end of overtime.

He also had six rebounds, two steals, and a game-saving block. The Warriors were trailing by eight points with just over two minutes remaining when Curry tipped the scales in their favour. He scored the team’s final 11 points in regulation. Curry hit a three-pointer with 18 seconds remaining to tie the game at 111-111, and then blocked Jrue Holiday’s layup with 1.9 seconds remaining to force overtime.

Steph Curry extended his hot streak in overtime, scoring nine points on three-of-four shooting. The two-time MVP delivered an all-time effort as the Dubs’ prospects of winning the game appeared bleak after the Bucks had an eight-point lead with two minutes remaining.

Curry, on the other hand, didn’t let it get in the way of his clutch performance. The Warriors were on a three-game losing run and urgently needed the win. The teams in the play-in bracket tightened the distance on the Warriors, who were rated sixth.
