The Orlando Magic will welcome the Indiana Pacers to the Amway Center for an NBA game on Saturday. The Magic lost 123-113 in their last game over the Raptors. One game after setting a season best by allowing just five points off turnovers, the Raptors made a season-worst 20 miscues against the Magic, leading to 26 points. The Magic weren’t much better, making 19 turnovers that led to 29 points for Toronto.
“You can’t turn the basketball over and give up offensive rebounds and give yourself a chance,” Mosley said. The Raptors outrebounded the Magic 40-29 and had a 13-9 edge on the offensive glass. As the All Star break arrives, Orlando has gone 19-15 since a 5-20 start. “I feel like we did a solid job from the beginning of the year to now of kind of changing the script of who the Orlando Magic are,” Carter said.
The Indiana Pacers on the other hand won 117-113 against the Bulls in their last game. Buddy Hield made six 3-pointers in the second half and finished with 27 points, helping the Indiana Pacers rally from a 24-point deficit after the first quarter and defeat the Chicago Bulls 117-113 on Wednesday night. Hield broke Reggie Miller’s single-season franchise record for 3-pointers on his final 3 — his 230th — with 22 games remaining.
“It’s the new NBA. You shoot 3s and I shoot 3s at a high level,” said Hield, the NBA leader. “Passing a legend like Reggie in Indiana is a testament to hard work and my teammates finding me in the right spots.” “The pattern in a lot of NBA games is you get hit in the face and then you fight back,” Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said. “Fighting back is a tough way to consistently win in this league.”
The Pacers, down 39-15 after the first quarter, have trailed by double digits in the opening quarter of 24 games. “We don’t want to be coming back all the time,” Hield said. “It’s annoying.” Aaron Nesmith scored 21 points for Indiana, which had lost 16 of 18. Turner added 17, Haliburton 16 and Bennedict Mathurin 14.
