Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers will welcome the Dallas Mavericks to Crypto.com Arena for an NBA game on Thursday. The Los Angeles Lakers lost 114-110 in their last game over the Rockets. Already without LeBron James because of an injury, the Lakers were also missing Anthony Davis against Houston. Davis, who had 35 points and 17 rebounds in a win over New Orleans on Tuesday night, isn’t playing both games back-to-back per doctors’ orders after coming back from a right foot injury.

Reaves had 24 points off the bench and D’Angelo Russell added 18 as the Lakers lost for the second time in three games as they fight to stay in line for one of the last playoff spots in the Western Conference. Porter had 18 points before halftime despite missing the last two minutes of the second quarter after sustaining a cut about his left eye.

He was bleeding profusely as he held a towel to the cut as he walked to the locker room. He returned to start the third quarter with a band-aid covering the cut. And he said that he received some stitches and had glue put on the cut at halftime. Coach Stephen Silas was impressed with Porter’s performance.

Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks on the other hand won 128-137 against the Spurs in their last game. Christian Wood had 27 points and 13 rebounds and the Dallas Mavericks overcame a series of blunders at the end regulation to beat the San Antonio Spurs 137-128 in overtime Wednesday night without injured All-Stars Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

“We made two mistakes late in the game,” Dallas coach Jason Kidd said. “It wasn’t where we were trying to make the mistakes. It just happens. As much as we look at them as numbers, we’re human. San Antonio took advantage of them.” “We kind of let it slip away in overtime, but the basketball gods were definitely on our side at the end of regulation,” Branham said.

The Mavericks’ Maxi Kleber threw an inbounds pass out of bounds on a full-length heave with 1.8 seconds remaining in regulation. Keldon Johnson, who missed a pair of free throws with 1.8 seconds, tied it 121 on an alley-oop dunk off an inbounds pass from Malaki Branham.
