The New York Knicks will welcome the Phoenix Suns to Paycom Center for an NBA game on Monday. The Knicks won 88-108 in their last game over the Rockets. Julius Randle scored 35 points and Immanuel Quickley added 27 as the New York Knicks snapped a five-game skid with a 108-88 win over the Houston Rockets on Saturday night.
“It’s the nature of the league,” coach Tom Thibodeau said. “You win eight in a row and then you have some tough losses … that’s part of it. How do you respond to it? We took a haymaker … and we bounced back.” The Rockets led for most of the first half, but the Knicks went on top just before the break and lead by double-digits for most of the second half.
The Suns on the other hand lost 113-104 against the Raptors in their last game. Mikal Bridges scored 21 points and Torrey Craig had 13 as Phoenix lost for the fifth time in its past six. Deandre Ayton shot 2 for 10 and scored four points.
“He just didn’t finish around the basket, didn’t play with the requisite force that it takes to play against a team like that,” Williams said. “Even when he thought he was open, they had two or three guys behind him. It was an off-night for him, for sure. He’ll bounce back.”
