Steph Curry is expected to make his return to the basketball court after staying out of action for almost a month. The four-time NBA champion suffered a left shoulder injury in December and has missed the last 11 of the Golden State Warriors’ games. With him set to return against the Phoenix Suns, the Dubs will be looking to grab a win and move one game above .500.

Prior to his injury, Steph Curry was averaging 30.0 PPG, 6.8 APG and 6.6 RPG. He was shooting the ball at a highly efficient 50% from the field and an impressive 43.4% shooting from three-point range. In his absence, the Warriors have been able to bag 6 wins, including a Christmas day blowout against the Memphis Grizzlies. However, his return will definitely be a big boost for their offense.

With Steph Curry injured, Jordan Poole was the player that impressed the most on the Warriors roster. In the last 10 games, Poole has averaged 27.8 PPG and looked great for the team. Although he has turned the ball over 4.9 times per game, his development in the Warriors system was the most visible in these last few games.

The Warriors’ opponent for Tuesday is the Phoenix Suns team which is currently in a bit of a predicament. Having lost their last six games, the last year’s top seed in the West is currently one game below .500. With Steph Curry returning things could get even more difficult for the Suns as he will be looking to pick things off from where he left off back in December.

Steph Curry’s return is a big relief for the Golden State Warriors

After winning the NBA championship last season, the Golden State Warriors parted ways with some crucial bench players during the offseason. The likes of Gary Payton II, Otto Porter Jr., Damion Lee and Juan Toscano – Anderson all went to different teams and this left the Dubs with no depth and solidity. The game on Tuesday will be their 41st game of the season, which means they’re halfway through the 2022-23 campaign. Despite fighting their way to a .500 record, the Warriors have not looked like true contenders.

Their only big positive has been Steph Curry’s constant display of brilliance. Without him, the Warriors have a 6-8 record and looked miles off their usual selves. His return at this juncture could be a game-changer for the Dubs. If he is able to continue putting up big performances, the seven-time champions could climb the ladder and push for a Top 4 spot in the wide-open Western Conference.
