The Miami Heat will head to the FedEx Forum Arena for their next NBA preseason game which will be against the Memphis Grizzlies. Both these sides will be high on confidence as they secured victories in their previous fixtures coming into this encounter.
The Heat were up against a strong-looking Brooklyn Nets side. However, they were unfazed by that and gave their Eastern Conference rivals a thumping 109-80 loss on the night. Bam Adebayo was the star of the team from South Beach. He scored 17 points on 54.5% shooting from the field. Rookie Jamal Cain also left an impact as he managed to add 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 steals against the Nets. Other youngsters like Dru Smith and Jamaree Bouyea also proved their capabilities as they added 12 points each for the Heat. Considering that the game against the Grizzlies is a back-to-back encounter, coach Erik Spoelstra will most definitely give his stars a day off. In their absence, the spotlight will be on these young guns. If they are able to showcase brilliance, they could win themselves a few minutes during the regular season.
Meanwhile, the Grizzlies have had 4 days off prior to this game. Their 109-97 win against the Orlando Magic came on Monday. It was Santi Aldama who starred for Memphis as he racked 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds while shooting 77.8% from the field. Ja Morant played 21 minutes and scored a game-high 22 points. He also threw 7 dimes and pulled off 3 steals on the night. They will be hoping to continue their brilliance against the Heat as a brilliant preseason campaign will set the tone for a stellar regular season.
