LeBron James was in attendance at the Super Bowl on Sunday to see Aaron Donald and the Los Angeles Rams come back in the fourth quarter to win the title. James drew inspiration from Donald during the Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night, even though the Lakers’ version of AD had been hurt earlier. As the Lakers survived an injury to Anthony Davis and fought back from a 12-point fourth-quarter deficit, James scored 15 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter.

Donald came right before the start of the game and sat courtside to watch it. Earlier in the day, Donald and the Los Angeles Rams celebrated their Super Bowl victory with a parade.

James and Donald shook hands as they ran down the floor after James made a reverse layup in the third quarter.

After a driving layup pulled the Lakers within three points late in the fourth quarter, Donald stood and flexed in front of James.

James and Donald embraced on the floor after the game concluded.

At the halfway point of the fourth quarter, Los Angeles was behind 92-80 but then went on a 19-4 run to end a three-game losing skid. With 2:08 left, James sank a thundering slam off an assist from Russell Westbrook to give the Lakers a 96-94 lead.

Before James’ game-winning 3-pointer with 1:24 remaining, Mike Conley had knotted it up with a pair of free throws, snapping Utah’s six-game winning run.

In a career-high 23 consecutive games, James has tallied at least 25 points.

Lakers coach Frank Vogel on James’s performance

“What we saw LeBron do, it’s just remarkable. What he continues to do at this point of his career, to take over a game in the fourth quarter the way that he did with his energy, will and determination, it was really something special.”

Davis went down with a sprained right ankle with three minutes left in the second quarter. X-rays were negative and he will undergo treatment during the All-Star break, according to the Los Angeles Lakers. According to Vogel, an MRI will be performed on Thursday.

When Davis went down with an injury, he had 17 points in 17 minutes. He lay motionless on the court for a long time before he was rescued. It’s now been 21 games this season that Davis has missed, including 17 because of a knee ailment. Davis is averaging 23.3 points and 9.1 rebounds.

Malik Monk scored 13 points and grabbed seven boards to accompany Russell Westbrook’s 17 points.

In addition to his 37 points, Donovan Mitchell had five three-pointers for Utah.

Ten consecutive points in two minutes gave Utah a 33-29 lead after 3 1/2 minutes of the second quarter.

A 14-point lead for the Jazz with three minutes left in the third quarter was their greatest until the Lakers fought back.
