Anthony Davis has not been very lucky when it comes to injuries as he only appeared in 40 games last season and played in 76 games over the last two seasons.
Los Angeles Lakers player and NBA All-Star Anthony Davis had a very tough last season as he was injured for most of it and did not feature in many games and as a result of that, the Lakers had one of their worst seasons ever. The Lakers finished in 11th place behind the San Antonio Spurs and as a result of that did not even feature in the play-in tournament and missed the playoffs for the seventh time out of the last nine years. It was quite a fall from grace for a team that boasted the likes of LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook.

Davis was a crucial cog in the Lakers engine room when they won the NBA Championship in 2020 in the bubble. It could be argued that Davis was more important than LeBron for that particular team. But Davis has not been very lucky when it comes to injuries as he only appeared in 40 games last season and played in 76 games over the last two seasons. In a video posted on Twitter, David revealed that he had not shot a basketball since April 5th. “I haven’t shot a basketball since maybe like April 5th,” Davis said in a video posted on Friday.

For me this is alarming. 2 months without shooting a basketball after the most dissapointing season you’ve had in years should EAT at you. Especially when your shot was horrible all season. It’s feeling like Anthony Davis won a chip and stopped trying.

What rubbed me the wrongest way was Anthony Davis was bragging about this. Really?! This is getting embarrassing for his teammates. LeBron James chose you for a reason. More @Undisputed, now on FS1 https://t.co/aBtMjh9fYE

Anthony Davis can take time off, it’s his right but the Lakers are coming off a bad year and in the last two years he’s been the worst 3PT shooter in the league. So, him not shooting a ball for months does feel like a real tough look.

My brother in Christ Anthony Davis is barely a 40% jump shooting big man that absolutely refuses to be a center.
If he isn’t shooting the ball I’m not sure what he’s doing. https://t.co/iqn7pxnhD0

This is the stuff that makes LakerNation pissed off ! Anthony Davis does not understand yet what lies ahead this season from Laker Nation if he shows up unmotivated again. Laker fans watched Kobe❤️?❤️, the greatest Laker, play through every injury & hurt to win us 5 TITLES. pic.twitter.com/qLg1yKRCM1

Media declared Anthony Davis a great, he was made a Top 75 player of all time and had made everyone who voted for him look like a fool https://t.co/7rQOy4Tosf
