Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the most beloved NBA players. Along with a stellar resume, the Greek Freak has a great personality off the court. The 28-year-old often shares his appreciation for the former players and this time he gave Dwyane Wade his flowers for a fantastic career with the Miami Heat. Wade and Antetokounmpo were coaches for their respective teams in the Celebrity game of the All-Star weekend. On meeting Wade, the two time MVP showed his appreciation for the Heat legend.

Giannis Antetokounmpo helped the Milwaukee Bucks to their first championship in franchise history during the 2020-21 season. Dwyane Wade did something similar with the Miami Heat during the 2005-06 season as he led the way from the front in helping the franchise get to its first championship.

“I’m a huge fan of you bro. The day after we won a championship, I posted a picture of you on my story, a picture of you, Dirk, Hakeem and Tim, because you guys, you did it in Miami, you did it the right way. That’s how I want to do it. I’m a huge fan of you bro,”

Antetokounmpo’s team won the game and the Greek Freak was extremely proud about it as he posted a picture of it on his social media platforms. The one time champion will also be a key feature in the main All-Star game as he is the captain for his team. Last season, Giannis won the All-Star game MVP as he dropped a stellar performance, knocking down three pointers for fun. However, he does not have a great track record playing against LeBron James as he has lost all of the previous times against the 38 year old.

How good has Giannis Antetokounmpo been this season?

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been performing at an elite level this season. He has averaged 31.8 PPG, 12.2 RPG and 5.4 APG in 47 appearances for the Milwaukee Bucks. The two time MVP is knocking on the door to win his third trophy and statistically it does look possible.

The Bucks are currently second in the East, just 0.5 games behind the Boston Celtics. Going into the All-Star break, the Bucks went on a 12-0 run and Giannis was brilliant in those games. He had an injury scare in the recent outing against the Chicago Bulls, but the grit and determination he has is known to all. The Bucks have added Jae Crowder to their roster and this gives them a lot more solidity on both ends of the floor. Khris Middleton has also returned from his injury and with all of the things clicking, the Bucks could end the season as the top seeded side in the East. This could prove to be advantageous for Giannis in his pursuit for the MVP trophy.
