The Cleveland Cavaliers will welcome the Boston Celtics to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse for an NBA game on Wednesday. The Cavs have been in great form as they won five games and lost just once since the start of the season. Their last game ended in a 121-108 win over the New York Knicks. Donovan Mitchell had a double double with 38 points and 12 assists while Kevin Love came off the bench to score 29 points.
After the game, Kevin Love said, “This team never loses its fight. Sometimes, you have to win ugly and we did that tonight. Donovan was finding guys out there, I was finding guys out there, Dean made big shots, and we just got rolling. It’s amazing playing with these guys.”
The Boston Celtics on the other hand defeated the Washington Wizards 112-94 in their last game. Jaylen Brown scored 24 points and had 10 rebounds while Jayston Tatum and Malcolm Brogdon dropped 23 points each with the latter coming off the bench in what was a magnificent individual performance.
Marcus Smart spoke after the game and said, “The sole focus is we want to have hot starts like that, offensively and defensively. Sustaining it is our problem. We wanted to come out tonight and make a big emphasis on that end. Once we get that lead because of our defense…not to let it slow down and take our foot off the gas pedal.”
