The Chicago Bulls will take on the New Orleans Pelicans at the United Center for an NBA preseason game on Tuesday. The Bulls had a relatively good time last season as they finished in 6th place in the Eastern Conference with 46 wins. They came up against Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the playoffs and got eliminated. They made great signings last season that had a transformative effect on the team.
DeMar DeRozan had a resurgence last season after signing for the Bulls and went on to have a great season on an individual level. This season they signed Andre Drummond and Goran Dragic to add some experience to the team. The most important thing for Chicago was the resigning of Zach Lavine. With that, the Bulls will hope to replicate the good form of last season and go one better this season.
The New Orleans Pelicans on the other hand finished the regular season in 8th place last time. The signing of CJ McCollum proved to be pivotal for them finishing the season well as they were languishing before he came in. Zion Willamson signing a 5 year extension should fill them with hope going into the new season as he can be as good as any when fit.
The resigning of CJ McCollum should also give them a shot up the arm as they continue to build a young core of players. Larry Nance Jr signed a veteran extension and should prove to be an effective player to have around.
