The Brooklyn Nets will head to the Moda Center for a matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday. While the Nets are coming into the game on the back of disappointing losses, the Trail Blazers have won three of their last four games ahead of this battle.
Brooklyn’s last game was against the Sacramento Kings side, who absolutely torched them from the word go. Terence Davis led the scorers with 31 points. A total of seven players from the Kings scored in double figures. Kevin Durant tried to put up a fight as he racked up 27 points for the Nets. However, his efforts were not enough to stop the team from losing 153-121 against the determined Kings side.
The Trail Blazers’ win came against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. Jerami Grant, Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons combined to score 74 points to lead the way for the Western Conference side. Rookie Shaedon Sharpe also chipped in with 13 points in 23 minutes. Despite Jakob Poletl’s 31-point and 14-rebound performance, the Spurs just didn’t have enough to get the better of the Trail Blazers, who walked out of Moda Center with a 117-100 win.
