The Brooklyn Nets will welcome the Boston Celtics to FTX Arena for an NBA game on Thursday. The Nets won 101-102 in their last game over the Heat. Brooklyn got another win. Now the Nets have to hope for good news on Kevin Durant. Royce O’Neale’s putback with 3.2 seconds left put Brooklyn to stay, and the Nets beat the Miami Heat.
“Right knee, he’ll get evaluated tomorrow and then hopefully I’ll have some more info,” Nets coach Jacque Vaughn said. “Most likely it will include imaging, just to make sure we’re good.”
The Celtics on the other hand won 125-114 against the Pelicans in their last game. The numbers that Celtics stars Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum have been putting up this season point to a duo playing even better than last season when Boston reached the NBA Finals. Brown scored a season-high 41 points and had 12 rebounds and the Celtics won their fourth straight game, holding off the New Orleans Pelicans 125-114 on Wednesday night.
Tatum added 31 points and 10 rebounds. It was the fifth career 40-point game for Brown. It was the 10th time in their careers Brown and Tatum have combined for 70 or more points. “I don’t think this is the best you will see,” Brown said. “I definitely think we’ve got other limits to reach in the future, in our career. This is just part of the process.”
