Boston Celtics' Jaylen Brown signs with Kanye West's Donda sports

Jaylen Brown is the first NBA player to get signed by Kanye West's Donda sport.

Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics is the newest player to join Kanye West’s Donda Sports group. The 25-year-old guard, who is set to face the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals in 2022, is the first NBA player to sign with the rapper’s agency. Brown confirmed the news on his Instagram Story on Tuesday, uploading a post with the announcement. During an interview on the I Am Athlete podcast earlier this week, Los Angeles Rams defensive standout Aaron Donald also confirmed his signing with Donda Sports. He stated that taking advantage of the chance “made sense” for him and his wife Erica Donald, who, according to the athlete, is in charge of his marketing.

Aaron said explaining to former NFL players Brandon Marshall and Chad Johnson, “[Hearing] the whole spectrum of everything that was going on, what they were going to be bringing, the family atmosphere that they got, for me, it was a no-brainer. I think it’s a hell of an opportunity to open up a lot of different doors and a lot of different things outside of football that I wanna be involved in. To be a part of that, and be one of the first athletes to be a part of that, it’s pretty dope.” He also added, “Donda Sports is something close to [West], obviously, with his mother and everything. So he definitely wants this to be something that’s top tier and something he’s serious about.”

Jaylen Brown is the first NBA player to get signed by Kanye West’s Donda sport. Former NFL player Antonio Brown collaborated with the firm for a leadership position before Aaron’s arrival. Donda Sports stated at the time, outlining the company’s beliefs and objectives. “Donda Sports was founded with the vision of providing holistic support to athletes during and beyond their sports career,” the statement said. “Donda Sports is a limitless organization centered on professional and wellness support in equal measure with the ambition to work with athletes across all genders, divisions, and sports.”
