Aline Pereira, Alex Pereira’s younger sister, has won her first mixed martial arts (MMA) match. On Friday (June 16, 2023), Pereira won a unanimous decision at LFA 160 by tearing apart and beating Chelsea Conner from inside the Owensboro Sportscenter in Owensboro, Kentucky.

Take a look at the highlights.

For 15 minutes, Aline Pereira pounded Conner, essentially using her as a target practice and working on her takedown defense. The Brazilian was on the verge of knocking out Conner in the second round but ran out of time. She ultimately got 30x27s all around. Pereira was out-grappled and felled by BKFC fighter and Ultimate Fighter 30 participant Helen Peralta in her professional MMA debut last year at LFA 147.

Pereira, 32, is following in the footsteps of her elder brother, a former GLORY kickboxer turned MMA fighter. (They also both lost their MMA debuts.) Alex will make his Light Heavyweight debut against Jan Blachowicz at UFC 291 in July, after losing the UFC Middleweight belt at UFC 287.
