Superbon Singha Mawynn is keen to reclaim the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Title after his bonus-winning head-kick knockout of Tayfun Ozcan at ONE Fight Night 11 last Friday. The Thai superstar’s redemption tour began spectacularly with a genuinely remarkable conclusion, and he’s grateful to have done it in front of an enthusiastic home-country audience at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok.

Following his highlight-reel triumph, the #1-ranked featherweight kickboxing contender commented on what it meant to compete at the historic venue:

“I feel like all my people, the Thai people, they’re watching me. They want me to be the winner, and to show the world Thai people and Thailand and where Muay Thai is. Yeah, I’m so proud of that.”

Superbon Singha Mawynn wants his rematch

Superbon has many reasons to be pleased with his early candidate for Knockout of the Year, but he won’t rest until he’s earned a rematch with reigning ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Chingiz Allazov.

“Chinga” gave the previous champion a stunning knockout defeat in January, capturing his gold in the process. Superbon is now desperate for another fight with Allazov – and another chance to prove he’s still the finest pound-for-pound kickboxer on the planet: “I want to have a rematch, to take my rematch first. Yeah, 100 percent, I’m the best.”

To that purpose, the 32-year-old claims to have already determined what went wrong in his World Title defeat to Allazov. Superbon is optimistic that if and when they meet again, he will be able to alter and perfect his game plan: “It’s going to be different because I saw my mistake from the last fight. We need to go back and practice and train. And we will show you how we will do it. I cannot tell you today, but I will show you during the fight.”
