Irish MMA fighter James Gallagher is set to face a new opponent in his upcoming Bellator 298 bout following the unfortunate withdrawal of Cris Lencioni. The promotion has now confirmed that James Gonzalez. Teammate of UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling, has stepped up to take on Gallagher in an exciting bantamweight matchup.

The fight is scheduled to take place on August 11 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This development comes after Lencioni’s removal from the card due to his ongoing recovery from a cardiac arrest suffered during training in June.
