The women's hockey competition at the Paris Olympics 2024 will start from the 27th of July with Argentina taking on USA in Pool B.
The widely-anticipated match schedules for the Paris 2024 hockey tournaments have been unveiled during a ceremony at the Olympic House in Lausanne. Hosts France face a show-stopping opening Pool A fixture against four-time Olympic champions Netherlands on Saturday 27 July.
Followed by Argentina, the world’s top-ranked side and silver medallists in 2000, 2012 and 2020, began their campaign against the United States. The South Americans are looking for a gold medal for the first time since Los Angeles in 1984.
The following afternoon, three-time Olympic champions Australia will start their bid for glory against South Africa. At the same time, Great Britain, medallists in their last three Games, will come up against Spain, who won gold at Barcelona in 1992.
Earlier in the day, Belgium will be taking on the People’s Republic of China in the morning. On the other hand, the 2004 gold medallists Germany face Japan at 10:30 am. The final pool matches are set for Saturday 3 August with Germany v Belgium closing Pool A while the United States and South Africa see out Pool B.

A total of 12 teams are set to lock horns in the women’s hockey tournament in Paris 2024. These 12 teams are divided into two pools comprising 6 teams each. The pools are:
