The United States successfully defended the Presidents Cup despite a valiant effort by the International Team at the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Americans won the golf match by a score of 17.5 to 12.5 and earned their ninth consecutive victory overall. With only one tournament loss overall, the US team has now claimed 12 of the last 14 Presidents Cups. On the 18th hole, Xander Schauffele rolled in the deciding putt in his game against Canadian Corey Conners which helped the USA in clinching the victory. The Presidents Cup is a biennial contest between Americans and an international squad containing players from outside the United States and Europe.
