The championship celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2018. Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Viktor Hovland are a few of the well-known athletes who will be competing this year. A €3,000,000 prize pool is planned for the Italian Open 2022. The tournament winner will receive €500,000.
