Aditi Ashok, Olivia Cowan, Amandeep Drall, Hero Women's Indian Open 2022, Ladies European Tour: Find Out The Full Results

Olivia Cowan shot an outstanding final round of 68 (-4) to win the Hero Women’s Indian Open and earn her first tour victory in her 96th contest at the DLF Golf and Country Club, Gurugram, Haryana. The German, who had at least 27 Top-10 finishes prior to this week, won by three strokes over home favorite Amandeep Drall (72) and Caroline Hedwall (71), who dropped a shot on the 18th to tie for second with the Indian after totaling 13-under 275.

With four holes remaining and three players level at 11-under, a play-off appeared to be on the cards, until Cowan nailed a critical birdie on the Par-5 15th. Cowan held the lead at 12-under after Drall made bogey on the same hole, moving Drall to 10-under and Hedwall to 11-under. She then went on to clinch the victory with another birdie on the 17th to move to 13-under, two ahead of Hedwall and three ahead of Drall.

Cowan’s best tour performance this year was a T4 at her home tournament in the Amundi German Masters. Her previous two trips to India resulted in performances of T19 in 2017 and T9 in 2018. The home golfers had a terrific week, with four players in the top eight. Tokyo Olympian Aditi Ashok finished at a respectable fourth position with a score of 7-under 281. Gaurika Bishnoi (73) tied for sixth place with Anais Meyssonnier on -4, while Vani Kapoor (69) made her eighth straight cut with a T8 finish on -3. Avani Prashanth, an amateur from India, had the best day with a 5-under 67 to finish tied 12 overall.
