The AmazingCre Portland Classic 2022 got underway on September 15 and will last till September 18, 2022 in Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland, Oregon. Nelly Korda, Brooke Henderson, Marina Alex, and others are among the top competitors in the competition. India’s Aditi Ashok who finished fourth in Tokyo Olympics 2020 will also feature in the event. The 144-player field will compete over four days in one of the longest-running events on the LPGA circuit. The field will compete for a $1.5 million purse, with 16 of the top 50 Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking players in the field.
The Portland Classic is an LPGA Tour event for women’s professional golfers held in Oregon. The yearly event in the Portland area was founded 50 years ago in 1972 and is the oldest active event on the LPGA Tour. In 2013, it changed from being a 54-hole competition to a 72-hole one. Over $19 million has been contributed to local children’s organizations since 1972 as a result of tournament profits.
