The Acciona Open de Espana 2022 is scheduled to be held from October 6 and end on October 9, 2022 at the Villa de Madrid Country Club in Madrid, Spain. Its black course has conducted multiple European Tour events, including the Open de Espana nine times and the Madrid Open nine times and number of Spanish golf federation championships. Formerly known as the Spanish Open, it is one of the oldest championships in the world.
The championship in Madrid will be a part of the European Tour in 2022. In 2022, all competitors will compete for a total prize pool of €1,500,000. The tournament has been played since 1912 in the nation and a part of the PGA European Tour since 1971. Former World No. 1 Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, and Jon Rahm will be among the star athletes who will be a part of the tournament.
