Luke Shaw is an English professional footballer who plays for the Premier League side Manchester United. Luke Shaw has extensive experience as a left-back for both club and country and also competes for the England national team. Shaw joined Southampton’s youth programme before making his first-team debut in January 2012. In May of that year, he received his first professional contract, and during the following two seasons, he established himself as a regular for Southampton. Since 2011, Luke Shaw has been a crucial member of the England youth team and has made several appearances for his country.

At the age of seven, Shaw enrolled in the Southampton Academy in 2002. At the age of 15, he started playing regularly for the under-18 squad. In September 2011, he made his debut for the first team as an unused substitute in a League Cup game against Preston North End. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City were said to be interested in signing the 16-year-old Shaw during the January 2012 transfer window. The then-Championship side reportedly valued the defender at £4 million and stated that he was an integral part of their future plans. Shaw played for Southampton in 28 games during his first professional season, including 25 Premier League games.
Shaw became the most expensive teenager in football history on June 27, 2014, when he agreed to a four-year deal with Manchester United (with an option to extend for an additional year) for 30 million. Shaw played the first 45 minutes of the club’s 7-0 victory over the LA Galaxy in his first match of the club’s preseason tour of the United States. On September 27, 2014, Shaw made his United debut in a competitive match, appearing the full 2-1 victory over West Ham United at home. He’s had a decent stint with Manchester United scoring three goals and appearing over 168 times for the club.

Luke Shaw has two children; a boy and a girl. Their son, Reign was born in November 2019 while their daughter, Storie was born on 20th May 2022.
