Jordan Henderson is an English professional footballer who captains Premier League side Liverpool. He captained the Reds as they won the 2019/20 Premier League and the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League. Sunderland was Henderson’s first professional team, where he made his debut in the Premier League after passing through their youth academy. He transferred to Liverpool in 2011 for an undisclosed fee around £20 million. Henderson’s Liverpool career had a rough beginning, but he quickly gained the support of the fans. He participated in just one game, playing the entire 90 minutes of England’s 0-0 draw with Slovakia in the final group match.
