Legendary former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson visited the hotel Paris Saint-Germain are staying. The visit comes ahead of the Paris side’s Champions League semifinal second leg against Manchester City. PSG lost the first leg 1-2 in Paris last week. With Pep Guardiola’s boys in good form domestically, it will be a difficult task for the visiting team to overcome the opening leg deficit. The winner between these two teams will play Chelsea or Real Madrid in the final in Istanbul on 29th May.

Ahead of the big game at the Etihad Stadium, PSG are staying at the Lowry Hotel upon arrival in Manchester. Manchester United’s successful manager in their history, Ferguson, was seen heading into the hotel wearing a face mask on Tuesday morning. There has been no official confirmation of the reason behind Sir Alex’s visit

The hotel is currently only hosting the PSG squad, with no other guests staying there due to COVID-19 restrictions, according to manchestereveningnews. Photographers first pictured the Scot arriving at the hotel on Tuesday. Ferguson was pictured walking past the PSG team bus and entering the hotel lobby and he roughly spent 1 hour and 20 minutes inside the Lowry Hotel.

Then, Ferguson was pictured leaving the building alongside PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. It is also to be noted that in the past, Ferguson has always praised the current PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino. Hence, it will be interesting to know what went on in the hotel, but for now, all we can do is wait and watch.

Al-Khelaifi, a Qatari businessman, is also the head of Qatar Sports Investments, the company which owns PSG. Seeing him accompanying Ferguson after his brief visit to the hotel did leave for some speculations in social media. Find out what users have to say about it:
