Jordan Henderson is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liverpool and the England national team. Although Henderson has primarily been used as a defensive midfielder under Klopp, he typically plays as a box-to-box midfielder. However, Henderson returned to his initial “number 8” position as a central midfielder closer to the right side of the pitch in 2018 with the arrival of Fabinho, a position in which he shines the most. He is a flexible player who has also occasionally played in a more advanced midfield position and even as a temporary centre back when Liverpool’s central defenders were sidelined by injuries. He is well-known for working hard and bringing energy to the squad.
