In round nine of the A-League, Adelaide United welcomes Newcastle Jets to the Hindmarsh Stadium in an effort to make it three victories in three home games this season.

When Adelaide United lost 3-1 to Wellington Phoenix at the Wellington Regional Stadium two Saturdays ago, they were unable to get back on the winning track. In a match in which Ben Halloran was benched, Oskar Zawada and Bozhidar Kraev scored either side of Craig Goodwin’s 12th-minute equaliser to give the hosts a 2-1 lead in the first half. Yan Sasse then secured the victory with a goal in the 61st minute. This came after the 2008 AFC Champions League champion’s run of three straight triumphs came to an end on December 9 at the Kayo Stadium in a somewhat demoralising 1-1 tie with Brisbane Roar.
Newcastle Jets, on the other hand, are still having trouble finding their stride in the new season after they were destroyed 3-0 by Central Coast Mariners last Wednesday. Marco Tulio, Jason Cummings, and Beni Nkololo all scored goals in a lopsided match at Central Coast Stadium to give the Mariners their fourth league victory of the year. Prior to that, the Jets defeated Central Coast Mariners 2-1 in their first matchback following the World Cup break to snap a three-game losing record. Five days later, they lost 1-0 to Brisbane Roar at home.
The lineups might be similar to their last matches as Lopez, Kitto , Barr many others from Adelaide United side while Elsey, Natta, Hoffman and many more from Newcastle Jets. Both teams will be ready with substituion depending on the plays and players conditions.
