Alfa Romeo will be the next team on the schedule to announce their competitors, liveries, and uniforms for the 2018 racing season. The F1 launch season has been fairly active in the previous week. Considering the difficulties they encountered while having an accomplished driver, there are great expectations from the team.

Timing and where to watch?

The C43, Alfa Romeo‘s rival, will be unveiled on February 7th, 2023, at 10 AM CET (9 AM GMT). Most likely, social media platforms will stream the entire event, allowing spectators to watch it without any problems. The occasion will occur in Zurich, Switzerland. Guanyu Zhou and Valtteri Bottas, as well as their team representative Alunni Bravi, who recently joined the team, are the two drivers most likely to be recognised. He wasn’t the only new member of the squad; the Sauber Group also welcomed a new CEO. During the recent team principal changes that the sport saw, Andreas Seidl, who had previously served as McLaren’s team principal, was chosen to be the organization’s CEO.

Seriousness for upcoming season

In contrast to 2021, Alfa Romeo’s results improved in 2018. Although placing sixth in the rankings was an improvement over ninth in 2021, there were other opportunities where the squad may have excelled but didn’t. The dependability problems that practically all teams employing Ferrari engines, including the Scuderia itself, experienced were some of the most noticeable problems. Zhou Guanyu and Valtteri Bottas both failed to finish several races, which cost them points.

Alfa Romeo anticipates being more competitive going into the 2023 season, despite changes to the team’s management. Zhou also put in strong results in a few of the races. Despite the fact that he didn’t score many points, he undoubtedly got a lot of experience in his debut season as a Formula 1 driver, which he will put to good use. One of the most storied teams on the grid, the team is currently managed by the Sauber Group. They still have a future in the sport because starting in 2026, Audi will support them, which may be quite advantageous for them.

Last season

Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi quit the Hinwil squad at the conclusion of the 2021 campaign. The Swiss team’s new drivers for the 2022 season are rookie Zhou Guanyu from China and ex-Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas. Expectations were high for Zhou, a now 23-year-old Formula 1 driver who is the first from his native China. Alfa Romeo’s season was better than 2021’s. With a total of 13 points, they came in ninth position in the Constructors’ Championship the previous year. The team gained renewed optimism in 2022, and Alfa Romeo struggled to sixth place with 55 points.

At Imola in April, Alfa Romeo had their best season performance. Valtteri Bottas earned two points in the sprint race and gained more positions throughout the Grand Prix to place fifth overall. Total points earned by the Finn were 12. Alfa Romeo had a successful first half of the 2022 Formula One season overall. The squad consistently scored points, which allowed them to quickly move up the constructors’ standings. However, the squad suffered a few DNFs as a result of the mechanical issues and the Ferrari engine’s tricks. The C42’s inability to outperform the other drivers and teams over the second half of the season was a defining feature. In the first half of the season, Bottas and Zhou amassed 51 points, but only four more came in the second. It was impossible to imagine a more startling contrast.
