The Tekken franchise has had fans on the edge of their seats with the release of new trailers and information about the upcoming game, Tekken 8. However, it’s not just the latest gameplay details that have caught the attention of fans but rather, a character profile that has reignited debate about the fate of one of the series’ most iconic characters.
Leroy Smith, the returning character to Tekken 8, has a character profile that includes lines suggesting that Heihachi Mishima, the head of the Mishima Zaibatsu, may have survived his final battle with Kazuya at the end of Tekken 7.
According to Leroy’s biography, Heihachi disappears, and G Corp takes advantage of this situation by overthrowing the Mishima Zaibatsu. The biography goes on to say that the whole world is ruled by G Corp’s iron fist, and Kazuya is revealed to be its leader. Despite this, the door is not entirely closed on Heihachi’s return in Tekken 8. Still, it’s unlikely he will be the star of the show unless he miraculously emerges from the volcano for a last-second save or some other wild plot twist. After all, this is Tekken, and anything is possibe.
