The events of the story take place just after the commencement ceremony of a high school. A fellow freshman named Himari confesses to Yori, leaving her flabbergasted, and we then follow Yori, the protagonist of the series who is a singer.

Himari and Yori talk about Yori’s talent as a singer and songwriter. Furthermore, Yori is still undecided about whether or not she wants to perform with the SSGIRLS. Himari is so concerned that the weather may cancel their after-school encounter that the next day she drops by Yori’s classroom. Yori and Aki both show up at the same time. It is Aki’s suggestion that Yori and Himari swap numbers.
Yori and Himari eventually meet in a school to talk about cats and other random topics. On Sunday, the two decided to meet up. The date actually occurs after Yori discusses it at home with Aki and Himari. We learn about Yori’s father and guitar history during their date with Himari at a music store. Subsequently, they reach a station and engage in conversation there. Yori finally tells Himari the truth and gives her some time to consider it.
At a restaurant, the SSGIRLS continue their conversation on Yori and the concept of love at first sight. Throughout this conversation, the anime subtly suggests that Aki harbors romantic affections for Yori. The scene shifts to Himari, who is thinking back on her private moments with Yori. When it comes to her relationship with Yori, Himari is at a loss on what to do. Himari wonders what love is at the end of the episode.
