As the third episode of The Fable begins, Takahashi fills Takeshi in on what transpired between Fable, him, and his men. The two hit it off, and Takeshi ends up getting some ammunition from his arms dealer friend Matsu. At the same time, Fable’s boss sends him multiple texts from his house. Yoko informs him that the boss wants them to get pets when he visits her. In order to get pets, Fable and Yoko go to a pet store.
Once Fable spots Takahashi’s ally, he abandons Yoko. Fable and Takahashi’s kickboxing buddy end up in a pursuit scene. After escaping and reuniting with Yoko, Fable takes a bird from the pet store and calls it Captain. At the same time, Takeshi confides in Takahashi his desire for him to go out with Yoko. He wants Takahashi to talk to her and get some information on Fable.
Fable and Yoko’s date with Takahashi and Takeshi is the first step in their separate dates. He and Takeshi reach a secret spot as Takahashi and Yoko have dinner. Fable is to kill a particular man at Takeshi’s command. He says he’ll be there to clean up after Fable. As the episode comes to a close, Fable quickly approaches that man.
