Read Frieren after the anime?

The episode “It Would Be Embarrassing When We Met Again” marks the end of the Frieren anime and is a direct translation of “Departure and Farewell” from chapter 60 of volume seven of the manga.

You can start reading chapter 61, “Magic-Nullifying Crystal,” if you’re interested in continuing the plot and want to know where the Frieren anime leaves off in the manga.

Where To Read Frieren Manga?

Frieren, a manga by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe, first appeared in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine on April 28, 2020. All of the volumes of the Frieren manga are readily available for purchase on various platforms.

You may purchase them on the Shogakukan website for approximately $4 (JP¥550) in either print or e-book format. In addition, all volumes are available on the official VIZ Media website. Paperbacks cost $11.99. Digital editions are $6.99.

What Happened in Episode 28?

Everyone from Kanne and Dünste to Laufen and Scharf to Ehre and Frieren failed in Episode 27. Also, Fern passed the last section of the exam first in that episode. This week’s show finally revealed the outcomes for Denken, Übel, Land, Wirbel, and Methode.

Then how did all of the newly promoted First-Class mages do on the final exam for Serie? Since no other human wizard had ever noticed that Serie was repressing her mana before, Fern passed. Indeed, this so impressed Serie that she extended an offer to have Fern serve as her apprentice.

Fern was the only wizard who impressed Serie. However, Serie could still see merit in them. As an example, Denken didn’t pass since, upon seeing her, he started planning his attack. A like idea occurred to Wirbel. However, Serie overcame him after he said that magic is a means of murder, therefore he is spellless.

Because he had the gall to simply not show up for the test, Land passed. Remember when we were under the impression that we were viewing the actual Land? That was also a clone. His hometown was his only ever destination.

Himmel Stories

There appears to be little in common between Himmel and Wirbel. Himmel, though, is ultimately responsible for shaping Wirbel into the person he is now. In particular, he modeled himself after Himmel’s tedious tales.

When Wirbel was a kid, he devoured the thrilling tales in which Himmel and his companions vanquished terrible creatures. On the other hand, the elder villagers’ tales always depicted Himmel lending a hand in more menial tasks. Wirbel wanted to be just like the villagers after witnessing the joy these stories brought them.

Indeed, Wirbel is an individual who considers magic a means of murder. Certainly, Himmel would never have entertained such an idea. The significance of aiding others is what Wirbel gleaned from Himmel’s deeds. Wirbel helped a lady who had dropped a basket of fruit even if Frieren hadn’t. This is also the reason behind his perspective on magic.
