Riot Games has introduced a tournament before each league, which will conclude in the first Masters event of 2024, Masters Madrid, in an effort to boost the pressure on competition. This famous tournament, which is set to start in March, will include two teams from each of the four zones, exciting matches and competitive opposition.
For the first round of the competition, Masters Madrid will use a new format that will use the Swiss format. This format, which began in 2023 in League of Legends, Riot’s other big esports game, looks to bring something fresh to the Valorant competitive scene.
Top-seeded teams will first play against No. 2 seeds from various areas in the Swiss format. The winning teams will next play against teams with comparable records until four teams have two victories and two defeats.
The competition, which takes place from March 12 to March 24, will have a Swiss Stage and a double-elimination bracket. The schedule is breakdown as follows:
