After the huge success of Arcane, Riot Games’ League of Legends-inspired Netflix show, it’s hard not to wonder about Valorant getting the same treatment. Since it came out in 2020, the game has gained immense popularity. And, fans have been waiting for the next installment of the popular FPS game.

With several stories to be told and a plethora of lore already present within the title, will Valorant and its growing cast of Agents ever get a TV show on streaming platforms? Well, Riot has hinted that something might be in the pipeline.

Will Valorant ever get a TV show?

Although nothing can be said for sure, it would be unfair to rule out the possibility. If a Valorant series is in the works, it might take some time before hitting the streaming platforms.

In a ‘Ask Valorant’ blog from May 19, Creative Director, David Nottingham wrote: “Arcane was amazing! We’d be lying if we claimed not to have hopes and dreams of one day delivering something of that stature in the Valorant Universe but wow, our LoL cousins set an insanely high bar with the series!

“From the outset, we set out to create an expansive universe with a depth of characters to support any potential future experiences that we believe players would want, including premium entertainment.

“BUT… don’t expect anything too soon,” he emphasized. “We’re going to remain hyper-focused on the game for quite some time and we have plenty we still want to do to keep expanding the universe in support of Valorant the game.”

When can Valorant TV series be released?

While these comments give fans a ray of hope, it’s important to understand that he has also clarified that fans shouldn’t “expect anything anytime soon.”

Riot is also working on the second season of Arcane, but they might also be exploring other realms of the LoL universe. You never know, they might as well jump straight to Future Earth sooner than expected, but that is a discussion for another day.
