Later this month, pro and casual Valorant players will be preparing for the return of Bind to both unrated and competitive queues. At the same time, players will also be bidding adieu to another map will be getting the boot from the map pool on the arrival of Patch 6.08 hits the live servers on April 25.

Riot Games has also confirmed that Icebox will no longer be available in competitive and unrated queues when Bind is re-added to the mix, which has brought happiness and horror for the general player base.

Some Fnatic players weren’t happy to know that the map they in won the 2023 VCT LOCK/IN tournament on was being removed, especially because the team has 76% of win rate when playing on Icebox.

Bind coming in with a lot of changes

Since the map is being removed from the rotation, fans are convinced that Riot will be rolling out a number of different updates to the layout of the map. This could be similar to how developers have updated Bind for its return to the map rotation. Icebox could soon witness a major overhaul from little quality-of-life swaps to major adjustments.

Meanwhile, Bind was removed with many changes to major locations, such as the A teleporter exit, the A site triple box, and a slew of doors that have been widened for more sightlines onto the site.

Players can play with these upgrades in other game modes with Patch 6.07, just before Bind’s official addition to the unrated and competitive map rotation.

How to fix Valorant version mismatch error?

The Valorant version mismatch error occurs when players fire up the game without updating it. This might occur whenever a new patch has been released and can prevent players from queuing for matches.

Players who are facing this issue in-game can follow the simple steps listed below:

  • Players need to exit the game
  • Now, they need to relaunch the Riot Client installed on their PC.
  • They will get a prompt to download the latest version
  • Once it’s updated to the latest version, players will be able to play the game again normally

However, there can be times when the version mismatch persists even after players update the game. In such cases, players should try to uninstall the game completely and reinstall a fresh copy.

A fresh installation will make sure all the necessary files are placed accordingly by the game’s client. Players should also note that updates go live in certain regions earlier. During that time, all they can do is wait for the update to become available in their region and then download it.
