Reinstalling Vanguard Anticheat

This usually fixes the “not responding” problem in Valorant. Here are some steps to do it:

  • Go to Control Panel.
  • Select Uninstall a program.
  • Look for Riot Vanguard.
  • Now, uninstall it.

Once done, players need to open the Valorant client and the anti-cheat will start downloading automatically.

This should solve the issue. However, if it doesn’t, a clean installation of Valorant is the last option left.

Valorant Clean installation

  • Open system tray.
  • Right-click on the Vanguard icon and hit the Exit option.
  • Now, click on Yes when the pop-up prompts turning off Vanguard.
  • Once done, players need to go to Control Panel.
  • Now, uninstall Vanguard anti-cheat and Valorant.
