VALORANT has become the undisputed king of the FPS world, boasting a staggering daily player count of over two million. However, for Mac users, accessing the game requires navigating through a series of obstacles. Despite this hurdle, there is a possible solution via third-party software.

With the advancements in technology, gamers can now play their favorite games on the go. One of the perks of owning a Mac is the convenience of being able to take it anywhere and use it whenever needed. However, for Mac users who are eager to join the VALORANT hype train and play as Jett on the bus, there are some obstacles to overcome. But thanks to third-party software, there is now a way to make it happen.

Mac gaming enthusiasts need not be confined to consoles or PCs. However, MacBook users are not immune to the struggle of accessing certain games, including VALORANT. The news is even worse for owners of the latest M1 and M2 Macs. Fortunately, Intel Mac owners can use a workaround to bypass VALORANT’s limitations on Mac devices. Players can easily join a server by downloading BootCamp and start playing the game on their Intel Macs.

How to run VALORANT on Mac

Mac users who have the newer M1 and M2 chips will face difficulties accessing VALORANT due to the game’s anti-cheat system, which can detect third-party software like CrossOver, Parallels, and Streaming. This means that these users will not be able to enjoy the game’s full potential and cannot join in the fun of taking down opponents.

To play VALORANT on your Mac, you’ll need to use third-party software. This involves installing a Windows operating system and creating a BootCamp partition to run both Mac and Windows OS simultaneously.

While Bootcamp is a free program that enables Intel Mac users to run VALORANT, it does require multiple reboots to function properly. However, the program delivers solid performance, making the inconvenience of the reboots worth it for Mac users looking to play VALORANT.

How to play the game on Mac?

All Mac users need to do is navigate to the “Applications” folder and open the “Utilities” folder. From there, launch “Boot Camp Assistant” and proceed with the outlined steps. Once finished, restart your Mac and follow the remaining instructions to successfully run VALORANT on your device.

After completing the Boot Camp setup, simply install VALORANT as you would on a Windows device. Remember that you will need to have a Riot account in order to log in and play. Navigate to the official VALORANT website to download the game. Once the installation is complete, you can enjoy playing VALORANT on your Mac.

Will VALORANT release for Mac?

There is currently a lack of optimistic news regarding the possibility of VALORANT being available on Mac systems. While VALORANT mobile has been in development for a while, there remains a glimmer of hope that the next development phase will extend to Mac laptops and computers.

A recent statement by Brent Meister, Riot’s Senior Software Engineer, indicated that there are no plans to release VALORANT for Macs. This information was disclosed in a Reddit thread in 2021. However, it’s important to note that plans can change over time, and it’s been two years since that statement was made. So, there’s still a glimmer of hope for Mac users to enjoy VALORANT in the future.
