On Friday, The Pokémon Company disclosed the promotional video, visuals, and cast for the upcoming anime series in the Pokémon franchise. The show will debut with a special one-hour episode on April 14th. Minori Suzuki and Yuka Terasaki will lead the cast as Liko and Roy, respectively. Meanwhile, Taku Yashiro will lend his voice to Friede, and the iconic Captain Pikachu will return, voiced by Ikue Ōtani. Upcoming Pokémon Anime

Saori Den, known for directing “Mirage Queen Prefers Circus,” will be leading the anime’s direction, while Daiki Tomiyasu, who previously worked on “Pokémon Sun & Moon” and “Pocket Monster Mezase Pokémon Master,” will serve as creative director. Dai Sato, the writer behind acclaimed series such as “Eureka Seven,” “Wolf’s Rain,” “Samurai Champloo,” and “Cowboy Bebop,” will oversee the series scripts.

The anime’s action scenes will be directed by Tetsuo Yajima, with Rei Yamazaki as the character designer and Kyoko Ito as the sub-character designer.
