The most recent patch for Diablo 4 (version 1.13), targets nerfs to a number of opponent crowd control effects. Blizzard targeted monster skills and elite affixes for the update that went live earlier today in an effort to alleviate some scenarios’ harsh crowd-control effects.

Cold Enchanted Elites attacking quickly after one another no longer trigger Cold Enchanted, Chilling Wind spawns overlapping barriers less frequently, and Nangari Snake Eyes’ stun duration is decreased from 1.5 to 1.25 seconds.

The most recent Diablo 4 update lessens the effects of monsters’ crowd control:

“These changes are aimed at the player having less time being Crowd Controlled and receiving more recovery time after being Crowd Controlled, especially at higher World Tiers,” Blizzard stated.

The minor update also includes a slew of bug fixes, including ones for problems where Cormond would not show up after defeating Varshan, the rewards for defeating Varshan for the first time wouldn’t go to the stash if missed, and Echo of Varshan did not drop a guaranteed Legendary after level 35.

Most commenters concurred that Diablo 4’s art, music, and story are three of its most outstanding features. One Redditor appreciated the tone of the game, comparing it to the three prior Diablo games, and claimed that it was the best entry in the franchise. Another commenter commended the game’s fluid co-op mechanics, which let players combine characters with quite different skill levels.

Another improvement was made to Affixes, which will now be sorted consistently. According to Blizzard, this improvement “will lay the groundwork for our ongoing work to make random Affixes easier to compare.” These updates ought to allay some player worries, but a large portion of the player community is probably anticipating Diablo 4’s Season of Blood, which will launch in-game on October 17.
