Kyotaro finds Yamada in Episode 12 of Season 2 of The Dangers In My Heart. In a short conversation, they compliment each other’s outfits. While Chihiro questions Yamada about a part she tried out for, Kyotaro obsesses over Summer at school. Ms. Moriya abruptly instructs the students to form small groups for the school excursion. As a group, Kanzaki invites Kyotaro and Yamada to join.
Kyotaro suggests that he consult Yamada directly. Before Kyotaro can invite Yamada to join their group, Chihiro interrupts and tells him that they’re picking roommates. Kyotaro feels humiliated when Kanzaki explains that he meant to mention another classmate, Teppei Yamada. While Kyotaro and his imaginary companion are at home, they talk about Yamada’s attitude adjustment.
His made-up companion draws parallels between this situation and an arc in the Kimi-Iro Octave manga that Yamada and his imaginary friend read. The friend thinks Yamada is anxious about their first kiss. During their phone conversation, Yamada and Kyotaro plan their forthcoming vacation. It follows that Kyotaro and the company board a subway train.
Hanzawa forewarns Kyotaro that Kanna intends to invite him and Yamada to a joyful party. Following their heated argument over seats, we see Kyotaro and Yamada, along with the rest of their group, visiting Nara Park. Some deer cause trouble for Yamada and Kyotaro. They touch on Yamada and the “choice” she had to make in a later conversation between Kyotaro and Chihiro.
The scene then shifts to Kyotaro and the others enjoying their meal at a Ward. Kyotaro gives Chihiro’s words a fleeting thought. In the future, Kyotaro makes an effort to visit the boy’s bathroom. Adachi, on the other hand, interrupts him because he has sexual desires for Kanzaki and himself. At the same time, in the girls’ bathroom, Yamada and the girls engage in some wicked banter.
